Mitt Romney stands by gaffe but says case not 'elegantly stated' | World news | guardian.co.uk

Just at a time when the Democrats are painting him as the candidate of the rich few, and (rightly in my view) trying to define the election as between their view of a society pulling together and being stronger for it, and a Republican ethic of freeing the lucky and strong to succeed on their own, Romney, who refuses to fully disclose his own tax returns, claims 47% of Americans are for Obama since they don't pay tax anyway and just want more handouts. Well done Mitt!
